Callaway, MD — Police officers and EMS from Valley Lee were dispatched Oct. 3 at 8:11 p.m. to a motor vehicle accident with one trapped just north of Chingville Road in front of the Winters Sheet Metal.
Upon arrival, two vehicles were discovered in an apparent T-bone style collision. Crews from Valley Lee Fire Department extricated one patient from a Jeep Liberty. Witnesses report that the driver of the Jeep Liberty was on the side of the road and made an attempt to make a U-turn and crossed the path of a Ford pickup truck.
Two people refused transport to the hospital and one other was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.
