UPDATE: We have received confirmation of a third motorcycle accident in St. Mary’s County, totaling three unrelated incidents in the past hour.
The third reported accident, which appears to be the most serious at this time, occurred at 12:34 a.m. in the 19000 block of Point Lookout Road in Great Mills. Upon arrival, crews discovered one male patient who was unconscious with multiple lacerations on his body and immediately requested a helicopter so he can be rushed to a nearby trauma center.ย
Trooper 2 from the Maryland State Police’s Aviation is expected to land at Park Hall Elementary School to make the transport. The helicopter is coming from Joint Base Andrews and is expected to land at approximately 1:13 a.m.
The severity of the patient’s injuries are also unknown at this time.

HOLLYWOOD, Md. — We are receiving reports of a motorcycle accident off of Three Notch Road that has sent one to the hospital.
At approximately 11:53 p.m. on July 16, first responders were alerted to a motorcycle crash off of Three Notch Road, in the area of Mervell Dean Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that only one patient was involved in the accident.
After being examined by EMS on the scene, it was determined that the patient needed to be transported by ground to a nearby trauma center for further treatment. We do not have any further details about the extent of the patient’s injuries.
A second motorcycle accident was also reported on Broad Creek Drive at approximately 12:01 a.m. on July 17, however no injuries were sustained in that other incident.ย
