California, MD – The Annual Lincoln/Reagan Dinner sponsored by the St. Maryโ€™s County Republican Central Committee was held this year at the Elks Club in California, MD with Guest Speaker David Bossie. He was introduced by Mary Coombs. Mr. Bossie was elected in 2016 to serve as Marylandโ€™s Republican National Committeeman. Since 2001, he has served as president of Citizens United and Citizens United Foundation and is a Fox News contributor. In August of 2016, Bossie took a five-month leave-of-absence to serve a Deputy Campaign Manager for Donald J. Trump for President; he was then named Deputy executive Director for the Tromp Presidential Transition Team.

David Bossie was born in Boston. He attended the University of Maryland. He resides with his wife and four children in Montgomery County where he proudly served for 20 years as a volunteer firefighter. Mr. Bossie enthralled his audience as he spoke about his unique relationship with President Trump.

The dinner began with a rendition of The National Anthem sung by soprano Tina Fratantuono. Tony Avak led the Pledge of Allegiance. SMC RCC Chair David Willenborg functioned as the eveningโ€™s MC as awards were presented to Greg Sauter and to Jennifer Boyd.

Mr. Sauter, CDR, USNR (Ret), recipient of the Republican Man of the Year Award, earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the US Naval Academy and was commissioned as Ensign in the US Navy; he subsequently received a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in 1995. Greg was born in Baltimore, MD and has resided in St. Maryโ€™s County for the past 19 years. He and his wife, Karen, have 4 children. Greg is the current president of the SMC Republican Club.

Jennifer Boyd was born and raised here in St. Maryโ€™s County and now resides just one mile away from her familyโ€™s farm.ย  She completed the LPN course at the Tech Center and then the Associates Degree RN program at the College of Southern Maryland. She and her husband enjoy sharing their property at Ocean Hall through their wedding venue business, Ocean Hall Events. She is a member of the SMC RCC.

Elected officials attending the Nov. 2 dinner were SMC RCC members Kevin Cioppa, Jodi Stanalonis, Jacinta Bottoms-Spencer and Bryan Barthelme, SMC Commissioners Todd Morgan and Mike Hewitt, former SMC Commissioners Barbara Thompson and Tommy McKay, Sen. Steve Waugh, Rep. Jerry Clark, SMC Board of Education member Jim Davis, MD Stateโ€™s Attorney Richard Fritz, St. Maryโ€™s County Treasurer Christy Kelly, and SMC Sheriff Tim Cameron, and were among many other honored guests.

Fulton Letourneau gave the eveningโ€™s closing Benediction.
