At 11:50 a.m. Nov. 8, a vehicle traveling on Post Office Road was stopped by Maryland State Police for a traffic violation. A computer check of the driver, Jason Daniel Burke, 21, of Waldorf, revealed an open warrant for a parole violation.
Burke was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police say. He was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
