Pasadena, MD — A Pasadena man has been arrested after he shot an acquaintance he claims was threatening him.

Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m., Gregory Korwek, 40, called police saying that an acquaintance had called to make threats and was currently on the way to his home. Korwek told police Dickinson should be on a scooter coming from the Duvall Highway area in Pasadena.

When officers arrived Korwek’s home on Orr Court, Korwek ran up to them and informed them he’d just shot Jeffery Dickinson, 44.

Anne Arundel County Police found Dickinson in the driveway of the home and immediately began to render medical assistance and called the Fire Department. Dickinson was declared dead by Fire Department personnel on the scene.

Homicide detectives worked served search warrants and conducted interviews.

During their investigation they learned that Korwek was a prohibited from possessing a weapon due to a previous felony conviction.

Korwek was arrested and charged with the prohibited possession and is being held without bond.

Homicide detectives are still gathering and sorting through evidence, once that is complete it will be determined if additional charges will be filed against Korwek for the shooting death of Dickinson.
