CALIFORNIA – Disgraced record producer Phil Spector is dead from COVID-19 complications.

TMZ broke the story earlier today. Spector is credited with developing the “wall of sound” found in many 1960s hits including the The Ronettes’ “Be My Baby.” That group featured his former wife Ronnie Spector. Spector also produced for the Beatles and many other acts.

Spector was serving a 19 years to life sentence for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson.
