June 21, 2021 Update: Tywan Thomas Morris, age 19 of Bryans Road, has been arrested and charged stemming from a shooting at the 20800 block of Daisy Lane in Lexington Park on June 14, 2021.
Morris has been charged with two counts of First-Degree Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, Handgun on Person, Loaded Handgun on Person and Firearm in the Use of a Felony or Violent Crime. He is currently being held at the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown on a no-bond status.
LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – Just minutes after the shooting in Great Mills this evening, we received reports of another shooting on Daisy Lane in Lexington Park.
At approximately 7:14 p.m. on June 14, police, fire and rescue personnel responded the the scene and found a 21-year-old with a gunshot wound in the upper-body. EMS on the scene requested MEDEVAC for the patient. MSP Aviation Trooper 2 responded for transportation. Police are on the scene with K-9s searching the area.
The patient was transported by ambulance to the St. Mary’s Airport hanger to meet Trooper 2 and transported the victim to a trauma center.
Police are investigating the incidents, it is unknown if they are related.
