Steny Hoyer, John Bohanan, Roy Dyson, Thomas Mattingly, and Dan Raley were among the politicians who took time out of a busy September 11 for a boat tour of storm damage caused by Ernesto.

The group cruised through the newly dredged St. Jeromeโ€™s Neck Creek, and the coast of Scotland, where missing roofs, toppled trees and other damage were still apparent over a week after the storm.

Steny recommended a jetty for the creek, and viewed photographs from the flooding. Nell Hampton, a Scotland resident, was aboard. The Hamptons were obliged to evacuate their waterfront home, during Ernesto, as the water swallowed their entire yard.
