A Port Tobacco man was killed early Sunday morning when his truck apparently went off the road and struck several trees. Pronounced dead at the scene was David Stott, 52
According to the Maryland State Police La Plata Barrack, Stott was traveling eastbound on Route 6 in Welcome when his 2008 Ford F-150 left the road for an unknown reason and struck several trees. The mishap occurred at 1:16 a.m. near the Melody Acres Drive intersection.
Stott’s body was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
