At 2:46 a.m. Aug. 13, Trooper Shughart responded to a reported malicious destruction of property in the 37000 of East Lakeland Drive in Mechanicsville.
Contact was made with the male complainant who said he heard suspicious noises and observed unknown subjects running from the front of his residence.
He discovered his mailbox had been damaged, and several others were on the street as well.
Neighborhood checks are being made and the investigation continues.
