Proof Tailgating is Bad For Your Health

At 1:28 p.m. Sept. 9, Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, Benedict Fire and EMS and Waldorf Paramedic Ambulance 399 were alerted to 8316 Leonardtown Road for an auto accident with people reported trapped.

Squad 2 was the first arriving, and reported a three vehicle rear-end type collision with one patient still inside one of the vehicles, reports Hughesville Firefighter Eddie McPherson.

Chief 2B (Hutchinson) arrived, established the Leonardtown Road Command and discovered none of the three occupants were trapped in the vehicles.

There was one minor injury as a result of the accident, but miraculously no one was injured seriously enough to require transport.

Units cleared the scene at 2:35 p.m.
