Dear St. Maryโs Community,
The families of Jessica Natalie (Jessica Wells, SMCM class of ’07) and her husband Brian Natalie have given us the sad news that Jessica and Brian passed away October 10 in a motorcyle accident in St. Mary’s County. Jessica majored in International Languages and Cultures/Spanish and Brian was a Navy veteran.
ย
Services for bothย will beย on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2:00 p.m., at the Inn at Buckeystown http://www.innatbuckeystown.com/ where Jessica and Brian were married this summer. In the spirit of celebrating Jessica and Brian’s lives, the families prefer people not wear much black and welcome anyone who would like to attend.
ย
Instead of flowers and cards the family would like condolences to be in the form of a donation to Save the Ta-tas (breast cancer research) and to MUSADE (an organization in Costa Rica providing shelter and support to women escaping violence, where Jessica worked during her semester abroadโcontact Prof. Joanna Bartow, jrbartow@smcm.edu, about how to donate to MUSADE).
On another sad note, we received notice that Fred Schroder โ94 passed away earlier this month. At St. Maryโs, Fred was very active in Frisbee Golf and Ultimate Frisbee and was sometimes called him โLittle Fredโ because of the older Fred on the team. His friends recall that he was always laughing and had a delightful silliness about him. The cause of Fredโs passing is not known, but his family will host a โget togetherโ on November 15th in Wawa, PA. Details for the service on November 15th will be forwarded as I receive them.ย ย
Iโm sorry to bring you such tragic news.
