Three Boys Caught Shoplifting
At 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 3 , Officer J. Timko responded to Sports Authority located at 3326 Crain Highway in Waldorf for the theft report.
Investigation revealed three La Plata boys, ages 12, 13 and 16, concealed a package of 100 protector sleeves and attempted to leave the store without paying.
Loss prevention officers detained the boys until Officer Timko arrived. They were charged with theft less than $100 and were released to their parents.
Spare Tire Stolen
At 12:00 noon, on Saturday, Jan. 28, Tpr. G. White responded to Hicks Drive, Leonardtown, for a reported theft.
The victim advised that his vehicle’s spare tire had been stolen. Investigation is continuing.
All Four Tires Stolen From Car Parked at Home
During the overnight hours of Feb. 2, an unknown culprit removed all 4 tires from a vehicle parked at a residence on Rt. 260, Dunkirk. TFC Bevard is handling the investigation.
Thieves Break Window to Steal Briefcase of School Papers
At 7:25 pm on Thursday, Jan. 26, TFC S. Van Bennekum responded to Curves Fitness Center in Charlotte Hall for a reported theft.
The victim advised that while she was in the fitness center someone had broken her vehicle’s side window and stole a briefcase containing miscellaneous school papers.
Investigation is continuing.
