
SOUTHERN MARYLAND — A series of Pride celebrations across Prince George’s County, Southern Maryland, and Annapolis will offer residents and visitors several opportunities to recognize and support the LGBTQ+ community this year.
From local festivals in May and October to the internationally recognized WorldPride DC 2025 in June, the region will host a wide range of events focused on community, visibility, and inclusion.
Brunch Out Loud: A Pride Celebration
Saturday, May 3, 2025
Brunch Out Loud: A Pride Celebration kicks off the celebration of Pride events, hosted by the Prince George’s County Office of Community Relations at the University of Maryland Global Campus. This event will focus on building bridges across generations within the LGBTQIA+ community. Seating is limited.

PrEP for Pride 2025
Saturday, May 31, 2025 – 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
PrEP for Pride 2025, hosted by the Charles County Department of Health, will be held at the Health Dept. The free event will include a Pride Walk, entertainment, guest speakers, food trucks, vendors, and health and wellness resources. Organized through the department’s HIV/PrEP programs, the festival promotes inclusion and raises awareness about HIV-related stigma.

Annapolis Pride Parade and Festival
Saturday, May 31, 2025 – Parade at 11 a.m., Festival at 12 p.m.
Annapolis Pride will host its annual Pride Parade and Festival on May 31. The parade will step off at 11 a.m., with a festival following at Maryland Hall beginning at 12 p.m. This year’s theme, “Growing in Pride. Growing in Community,” highlights expanding LGBTQ+ visibility in the capital region.

WorldPride DC 2025
Saturday, May 17, 2025 – Sunday, June 8, 2025
WorldPride DC 2025 takes place after local celebrations, marking one of the largest LGBTQ+ events ever hosted in the region. Organized by the Capital Pride Alliance, WorldPride will feature Trans Pride Washington, DC Black Pride, the Pride Parade and Festival, and an international march on Washington honoring the 1979 LGBTQ+ rights movement. Organizers expect about 2 million visitors for the region. Safety initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and regional partnerships are being coordinated to ensure a welcoming and inclusive experience.

Pride SoMD 2025
Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025 – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pride SoMD 2025 will take place later in the year at Lexington Manor Passive Park in Lexington Park, St. Mary’s County. Organizers have announced the save-the-date, with additional event details expected closer to the fall. Updates can be found on Pride SoMD’s website.
