LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Registration for St. Mary’s County Government’s Department of Recreation & Parks (R&P) School Age Care (SAC) program opens to the public on Monday, May 18, 2026. SAC is a fun and safe before and after school care program that offers a variety of hands-on activities and recreational experiences for kids.
The SAC program is licensed through the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care and has received a Level 1 rating from the Maryland EXCELS quality assurance program.
SAC program locations for the 2026-2027 School Year are:
- Chesapeake Public Charter School
- Duke Elementary
- Evergreen Elementary
- Leonardtown Elementary
- Lettie Dent Elementary
- Hollywood Recreation Center (Serving Hollywood Elementary and Teens After School)
Online registration is available by visiting www.stmaryscountymd.gov/Recreate and selecting “Online Registration” to view the catalog. SAC registration is located on the “Youth & Teens” tab. In-person registration will also be available at the Recreation & Parks Main Office in Leonardtown. A one-time deposit per family is required to secure your child’s spot for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
