Washington, D.C. – According to various news sources, Ohio Gov. John Kasich will suspend his presidential campaign, clearing the path for business magnate Donald Trump to be the presumptive Republican nominee.
Kasich’s departure from the race was anticipated following Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s decision to suspend his campaign after being trounced by Trump in last night’s Indiana primary.
With the nomination firmly in Trump’s grasp, he can now pivot towards the general election.
