Authorities in St. Mary’s County are investigating a crash in Lexington Park that left one injured.
Rescue Crews responded to report of an accident with entrapment along the 21800 block of Pegg Road on Feb. 10 shortly after 6 a.m.
Crews arrived on the scene to discover a single vehicle overturned in a ravine in the area of the Senior Apartments. The single occupant was out of the vehicle and walking around when rescue personell arrived. That person was transported from the scene to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Roads were icy at the time of the crash due to the overnight snowfall.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
