CHAPTICO โ Dynard Elementary School announced today that it, like Ridge Elementary, will be participating in the upcoming National Cherry Blossom Parade on Saturday, April 12, in Washington, D.C.
ย Under the direction of music teacher Tracie Wiesemann, 20 students from Dynard Elementary will be joining a mass choir of 700 regional students who will march in the parade and perform a medley of โLet There Be Peace on Earthโ and โWe Are the Worldโ in front of the White House.
ย According to Ms. Wieseman, Dynardโs students and parents have been anxiously awaiting this opportunity and are thrilled that it is only a couple days away.

Ridge Elementary School Invited to Cherry Blossom Parade in DC
ย Ridge Elementary Schoolโs chorus, under the direction of music teacher Sara Zylak, has been selected to participate in the upcoming National Cherry Blossom Parade on Saturday, April 12, in Washington, D.C.
ย In addition to marching in the parade, the chorus will perform in a mass choir with other school choirs from the region. According to Ms. Sandra Kerner, principal of Ridge Elementary, the students and their parents are very excited about this opportunity, and are very appreciative of Ms. Zylak for making this happen.
ย The parade will be televised and can be viewed live on WJLA Channel 7 at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
