Update (2 p.m.):  Police are responding to a barricade situation — on Ironside Road — where a male has threatened to injure himself, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

Ironsides Road from Mount Hope Elementary to Paulownia Place is currently shut down.

1:45 p.m. — Ironsides Road from Mount Hope Elementary to Paulownia Place is shut down due to police related activity.
