Corey Scott Angstadt
UPDATE: Leonardtown, MD – January 29, 2020. Defendant Corey Scott Angstadt (D.O.B. 11/12/1967) was sentenced to fifteen (15) years in prison for his involvement in a bank robbery at the Suntrust Bank in California, Maryland and fifteen (15) years in prison for his involvement in a robbery of the Twist Wine and Spirits Store in Lexington Park, Maryland.
State’s Attorney Richard Fritz prosecuted both cases and would like to thank the members of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department for the successful investigation of these cases.
Lexington Park, MD – The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office says it’s identified the suspect in the July 24, 2019, robbery of Twist Wine and Spirits on Three Notch Road in Lexington Park.
They say Corey Scott Angstadt,51, of California is the man who entered the business, indicated he had a weapon, and demanded money.
Angstadt is charged with:
- Armed Robbery
- Assault First Degree
- Assault Second Degree
He is currently incarcerated at the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center on a no bond status.
