โ€œPlease tell me youโ€™re playing againโ€ the hoarse voice of a young man covered in sweat desperately screamed at Benny Santoro Saturday night, as the ninth annual Park Rock Festโ€™s first day came to a close. Benny Santoro is the lead singer of a particularly wild Punk Rock band, called the Venetia Fair; whose performance left the audience split between two camps, either of astonished applause and accolade or shocked silence.

The performance charged on again Sunday night but this time without the chagrin, as PJMA security warned, it would be without many of the theatrics that broke Power Jam Music Alliance rules and guidelines, among them spitting into the audience, nudity, and profanity.

The Venetia Fair was not alone in putting on an amazing performance by sacrificing at least a few rules. Audiostrobelight ended their show, with confetti and crowd surfing the latter of which is forbidden at all PJMA shows due to safety concerns.

The aforementioned bands performed along with more than one hundred other bands at Park Rock fest, an annual two-day concert event aimed at ending the summer with a bang. A police officer providing security for the event, and residents living near Chancellorโ€™s Run Park would latter comment that it was a rather loud โ€˜bangโ€™

Despite the tumultuousย  behavior of some the more wild bands, or very possibly because of it, many of the Park Rock attendants left exclaiming that this year was the best festival yet. ย Post on social networks like Facebook and twitter left comments including โ€œbest Park Rock in yearsโ€ย  โ€œKick a**โ€ time at Park Rockโ€ฆ.โ€ A teenage girl formerly of southern Maryland who has recently moved to Southern California with her father wrote on Facebook โ€œIf I could fly back for Park Rock I would in a heartbeatโ€ after hearing from friends in Southern Maryland that the festival was one of the greatest yet.
