Two men are facing felony charges after detectives executed a search warrant on a trailer at a Lexington Park mobile home park on Thursday.
BCI Detectives, “SWAT” members and K-9 officers converged on the trailer and seized a hydroponics marijuana growing operation valued at more than $11,000, and approximately 68 grams of cultivated marijuana, growing equipment and other items related to the sale of marijuana. A total of 11 plants were seized.
“It was a successful operation that was definitely producing an illegal product,” Lt. Dan Alioto of BCI’s Vice Narcotics unit. ”We also seized much supporting evidence; a digital scale, a ledger, hydroponics equipment.”
Police took into custody Mark Alan Henson, 44, and Matthew Lowell Allen, 33, both of Tree Top Road, Lexington Park.
The case is being reviewed by the St. Mary’s County State’s Attorney’s Office. The men will most likely face a Grand Jury indictment on one or more felony charges, Alioto confirmed.
