On Friday, April 15, 2011, at approximately 9:55 pm, the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad responded to an auto accident at Route 4 North near Greenhouse Place for an auto accident with vehicle on side.
One person was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
From reports at the scene there was another vehicle that was making a turn from South Route 4 on to North Route 4. It was reported that the jeep on the side had to make a quick maneuver to avoid the other vehicle and lost control and had the accident.
It was also reported that the jeep was not speeding.
Sheriff’s Department is handling final investigation on this accident.
Route 4 North was only closed for a short period and then traffic was moving again in the left lane.
