The race begins at 8 a.m., outside Calvert Hall and winds through Historic St. Mary’s City.
Early registration is $15 for students and $20 for faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends.

The race is in memory of John R. Petruccelli, a senior of the class of 1981 who was killed by a drunk driver. The John R. Petruccelli Memorial Award was also established by the Petruccelli family in memory of their son to recognize a junior for devotion to the college and to the cause of education and responsibility to society. Proceeds of the race benefit the SafeRide program. SafeRide is a student-run organization dedicated to protecting students and the St. Mary’s community on the road and reducing the number of students who drive after drinking.
