La Plata, MD — The final La Plata Town Hall concert of the season is scheduled for Friday, August 30. Sam Grow will be performing with Flippin’ Eyelids as the opening act.

The  concert will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on the lawn at La Plata Town Hall at 305 Queen Anne Street.

Things will be set up a little bit differently than for previous Town Hall concerts this summer.

Roads leading to Town Hall will be closed starting at 4 pm.  La Grange Avenue from Centennial Street to Town Hall and Queen Anne Street will be closed for the duration of the event, from 4 pm to 9:30 pm.

There will be no parking available at Town Hall for this concert. Parking is available at Sacred Heart Church.  There are a number of residences around Town Hall.  Do not park in or block any residential lots or driveways or adjacent to or used by any open businesses.

Concert goers should bring lawn chairs or blankets for sitting. Coolers are allowed, but no alcohol is permitted. Because a large crowd is expected and more area is needed for seating,  the spray pad will not be open and there will be no kids zone.

Food for purchase will be available from Lifestyles food trailer, Chick-fil-A La Plata, Pizza Hotline, Circus Ice Cream and Ohana Snow Shaved Ice.

In case of bad weather, the concert will be moved inside. The indoor venue for the concert is the La Plata High School in the auditorium.  The doors will open at 4 pm for the concert and it will be first come first serve. The capacity for the auditorium is 685.
