On June 10, 2026, Sandra “Sandy” Gray Raines, aged 65, passed away. Sandy was born in Washington, DC, on August 29, 1960, to the late Cecil and Edwina Gray.
For over 38 years, Sandy worked in personnel management for Veterans Affairs. Her dedication and passion for her job were evident in the countless lives she touched and the strong relationships she built over the years.
In 1987, she met Thomas Raines, and they wed in 1992, going on to have one son, Thomas Raines (Liv) of Morgantown, WV.
Sandy had a passion for boating and fishing. She was also an avid supporter of the West Virginia Mountaineers baseball team.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her cherished husband and son.
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the family will receive friends for the memorial gathering from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with the memorial service beginning at 6:00 pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
