On Saturday Dec. 12, the James A. Forrest Technical Center in Leonardtown was host to the annual Breakfast with Santa. Each department within the Tech Center helped with different events from Santa’s Game Room, to the Santa Shop and a delicious breakfast, cooked and served by the Culinary Arts Department.
Eric Millham, the Video and Arts Communications teacher said that “this event is a great time for the kids and helps to raise funds for many of the projects here in the Tech Center including the Skills USA challenge.” The Skills USA Regional event will be held Feb. 6, 2010 with the National finals held the last week in June 2010.
St Marys County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Martirano stopped by to join the festivities and Spoke about “How proud he is of the Tech Center students for putting on such a fine event.”
The highlight for each of the children (and some of the parents, too) was the opportunity to visit with the jolly fat man himself, and to make sure he knew what to put under the tree for each of them.
