The Maryland Association of Educational Office Professionals (MAEOP) has selected St. Mary’s County’s Shop with a Cop program as the program it will support this holiday season.
In this effort, MAEOP is accepting donations of Wal-Mart gift cards or monetary donations to benefit Shop with a Cop.
Senior Detective William Raddatz of the St. Mary’s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations, will spearhead the program. Mr. Raddatz gathers over 100 policemen, their cars, and underprivileged students at the precinct and then travel by convoy to the nearest Wal-Mart. The students use the donated cards to shop for holiday gifts for their families.
To make a gift card or monetary donation to this worthy cause between now and Dec. 10, please mail or deliver your donation to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, c/o Detective William Raddatz, 23150 Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
