A new study has finally determined the best Christmas song of all time. Researchers at Wren Kitchens studied how popular Christmas tunes affected the heart rates of people participating in the study.

Researchers tracked heart rates to discover what happened to listeners’ heart rates. Average heart rates were 67.4 beats per minute, but the top tunes excited listeners got their hearts beating. 

The top tunes and the average beats per minute they inspire are as follows:

1.  Sleigh ride – Johnny Mathis      75.8

2.  It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas- Michael Bublé     75.4

3.  Santa baby – Eartha Kitt     73.1

4.  All I want for Christmas is you – Mariah Carey     72.2

5.  Underneath the tree – Kelly Clarkson    72.2

6.  A Holly jolly Christmas – Michael Bublé     72.1

7.  Frosty the snowman – Gene Autry     71.7

8.  It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Andy Williams     71.1
