On Wednesday, August 5, a search and rescue bloodhound named Zoey got away from her handler in Waldorf while on a morning walk in the area of St. Paul and Piney Church Roads.

Authorities from PG and Charles County began an extensive search of the area, but the dog was not located into the night. On August 6, the search area was widened to cover some 20 miles around the area where the five-year old, black and tan, non-aggressive bloodhound was lost.

Anyone spotting Zoey is asked to call (240) 832-6981. There is a reward offered to anyone that can help lead to the safe return of this working dog.
