On Aug. 16 to 17, the Charles County Fairgrounds were host to the second annual Outdoor Expo. According to Nick Simonds, the event’s organizer, “It was great. We doubled the number of vendors and attendees from last year.”
Simonds stated that both vendors and the public sang praises to the event’s organizers. “Everything was positive. Everyone thanked us for having this family-friendly event here in Southern Maryland.”
Simonds is already planning for next year’s event and said that it will either be in the middle of August or a week later, depending on the national celebrities he is trying to attract to the event. “As soon as we know their schedule, we’ll book the event for next year and the announcements will go out.”
