The Charles County Board of Commissioners is proud to proclaim to the month of September as Turkish Cultural Heritage Month.
The month aims to build relationships between Turkish and American people, as well as recognize Turkish American contributions to American society.
During the month, the annual Turkish Festival will take place at our nation’s capital. The event will include authentic Turkish art, culture, live music, folk dancing, and food. Currently, 500,000 Turkish Americans live in the United States.
