The investigation revealed a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, being operated by Brett Steven Lagana, age 17, of Hughesville, crossed the centerline and struck a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado being operated by Margaret Redman, age 56, of Brandywine.

From the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office – The roadway at Route 5 (Point Lookout Road) and Loveville Road is now anticipated to be closed for an extended period of time for the accident investigation. Expect delays.

Sources report two motorists injured in a crash on Point Lookout Road at Loveville Road are being flown to area trauma centers.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office reports the Point Lookout Road/ Loveville Road intersection is currently closed to traffic due to a motor vehicle crash. Motorists traveling to the area should find an alternate route until further notice.
