ANNAPOLIS, Md. –  The Severna Park Racquetball & Fitness Club (SPRFC) hosted a fundraiser for Bay Community Support Services (Bay-CSS), a non-profit serving Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s.  Donations from the Severna Park Racquetball & Fitness Club members were matched by the gym, as well as by a local company, NarlyCode, owned by gym member and instructor Mark Gruszecki and David Johnson.

This is not the first time that Severna Park Racquetball & Fitness Club and its members have made charitable donations to a non-profit organization. “The members and owners of the gym enjoy supporting the community” says personal trainer and fitness instructor Joan Kostacopol.  This year, the SPRFC celebrates 40 years in business. They are open fully without restriction and offer access to a variety of activities, including racquetball, pool, fitness classes, weight training, cardio machines, and gym equipment.  SPRFC is located at 8514 Veterans Hwy, Millersville, MD 21108. Visit sprfc.com to sign up for a membership.

Gym members, Donna and Kevin Ryan, proposed the fundraiser for Bay Community Support Services, and worked directly with the non-profit to create a presentation of services.  Every donation made by gym members was matched twice, once by the gym itself, and once by NarlyCode, a local company owned by members Mark Gruszecki and David Johnson. Narlycode operates in the cleared defense services industry.

The fundraiser totaled $2,160.00 for Bay Community Support Services.  The donations will be utilized to support Bay-CSS’s newly reopened Day Activities Center, located in Annapolis.
