At 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26, Matthew James David Hiner, 20, of Mechanicsville, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and discharging a firearm within 150 yards of a residence.
TFC Lashley responded to the 28000 block of Shannon Court in Mechanicsville for a reported shooting complaint. The investigation revealed Hiner was discharging a 22 caliber rifle at the rear of his residence and yelling obscenities. Hiner was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
At 2:37 a.m. Aug. 23, Terrence Llewelyn Mason, 43, of Morganza was arrested for possession of cocaine. Mason was stopped at Route 237 at Fire Dept. Lane in California for an equipment violation on his purple Chevrolet Cavalier.
During the course of the traffic stop, Trooper C. Evans observed cocaine on the driver’s seat. Marijuana, cocaine and a CDS smoking device were recovered from the glove box.
Mason was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
At 10:49 p.m. Aug. 23, Samuel Lee Mongtomery was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. TFC Grimes responded to a reported disturbance in the 21000 block of Lexwood Court in Lexington Park. Montgomery was outside his residence yelling and causing a disturbance. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center for a bond review.
At 1:06 a.m. Aug. 19, Trooper M. Adams initiated a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet truck on Route 234 at Chaptico Park in Chaptico for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Joshua Andrew Barrett, 23, of La Plata.
A check of MVA revealed Barrett’s driving privileges were suspended in Maryland. Barrett was arrested for driving while suspended. A search incident to arrest revealed a partially burnt marijuana cigar located in the front seat of the truck. Barrett was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly.
At 3:34 a.m. Aug. 18, TFC Nims responded to a reported Trespassing complaint in the 43000 block of Megan Lane in Leonardtown. Upon arrival contact was made with the female complainant, who advised Robert Clayton Walnetski, 24, of Mechanicsville was trespassing. Walnetski refused to leave.
TFC Nims took the suspect into custody for trespassing and transported him to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
At 3:47 p.m. Aug. 17, Trooper J. Pilkerton responded to a reported disturbance in the 21000 block of Winding Way in Lexington Park. Upon arrival contact was made with both the female and male subjects at the residence. During the investigation it was determined both parties were involved in a mutual physical assault. The investigation continues.
