Maryland is happy to announce that Shop Maryland is returning after a four-year hiatus. The popular tax-free week will take place this summer from August 8-14. Shoppers will receive a 6% tax break simply by purchasing qualifying clothing and footwear priced at $100 or less.
During the 2007 Special Session, the General Assembly enacted two annual tax-free periods beginning in 2010, a tax-free week on clothing and shoes in August, and a tax-free weekend for Energy Star Products and solar water heaters in February.
