HOLLYWOOD, CA — David Richardson, who produced shows like The Simpsons, Two and a Half Men, and Malcolm in the Middle has died of heart failure at 65.

Richardson’s producing career spanned 30 years, starting with Empty Next back in 1991 and including shows like The John Larroquette Show, Ed, What About Joan, and most recently, F is for Family.

Actor Bill Burr, who starred in F is for Family, said, “David Richardson was the funniest, darkest, most hilarious mind in the room. Sweetheart of a man. An incredible father and husband too.”

Richardson is survived by his wife, three children, and two grandchildren.
