RIDGE, Md. — Fire and rescue personnel made quick work of a brush fire earlier this evening.

At approximately 4:13 p.m. on May 2, crews responded to reports of a fire at a playground at the Point Lookout Marina. Units arrived at 16244 Millers Wharf Road and discovered a small brush fire located on the edge of the tree line. 

Crews from the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department managed to quickly extinguish the fire and return to service.

There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
