At 6:07 am, on Thursday, March 29, Tpr. Shughart initiated a traffic stop on a blue Dodge Stratus for exceeding the posted speed limit on Route 235, at Beck Road in Hollywood.
Contact was made with the driver, Kimberly Rochelle Brooks, 24, of Germantown and an odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Ms. Brooks was found to be in possession of two partially burnt marijuana cigarettes and a small bag of marijuana in her purse.
Ms. Brooks was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Ms. Brooks was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
