SMECO recently marked 20 years of hosting the Elementary School Knowledge Bowl, an annual competition for students in elementary schools throughout Southern Maryland. The bowl features an online quiz of general knowledge, for teams of fourth- and fifth-graders from elementary schools in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s counties. More than 180 students from 20 schools in the three counties competed in SMECO’s 20th annual Knowledge Bowl.
