The ninth annual Taste of Solomons on Saturday, March 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., is offering delicious foods all across the area. The festival is where visitors can sample every delightful type food that this vibrant little island has to offer.
The event is sponsored by the Solomons Business Association that states, “This year along with the culinary delights of the island, we will be offering cocktails, mocktails, art, artisans, vendors and services – a real taste of the Solomons’ lifestyle.”
Those that attend are encouraged to visit participating local restaurants and try samples of their finest fare accompanied by wine, beer, specialty drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Tickets will be available at each participating restaurant and at the ticket booth located in Glascock Field directly across from the Calvert Marine Museum.
Participating restaurants include: Boomerangs Original Ribs, The Captain’s Table, Catamaran’s, DiGiovanni’s Dock of the Bay, The Dry Dock Restaurant, Isaac’s Restaurant, Jethro’s Restaurant, Bar & Ice Cream Parlor, Kim’s Key Lime Pie & Coffee, Kingfisher’s Seafood House, Naughty Gull Restaurant & Pub, Solomon’s Pier and Vincenzo’s at Calvert Marina.
According to the Solomons Business Association Web site, “The mission of the Solomons Business Association is to promote economic development in the Solomons Island area through working with other merchants, civic and fraternal organizations, county, state and federal government to obtain ideas and funding which will develop and support business growth while maintaining ecological and environmental stability.
