Elevated fire danger today. Northeast winds of 10 to 15 MPH with gusts of 20 to 30 MPH and stronger at higher elevations can be expected today. Humidity levels will drop between 25 to 30 percent and lead to an increase in fire danger. Outdoor burning is discouraged today and actually banned in a few counties. Check with your locale fire officials. Any fires could quickly grow out of control.
