At approximately 2:45 p.m. Friday a two men test driving what appeared to be a Mustang on Bay Forest Road in the St. James area crashed and flipped the vehicle, causing serious injury to one occupant.
Police, and fire and rescue personnel from Ridge, arrived on the scene to find one occupant with injuries to the head, and the other driver fled the scene on foot. The injured man told police the other man was driving. A red Ford Mustang with no license plates was in the woods next to the road resting on its side.
Due to the extent of the man injures, rescue squad personnel called in a Maryland State Police helicopter transport to a regional trauma center. The chopper landed on a residential lawn on Cully Lane.
The Bay Net could not confirm whether the driver was apprehended by police, more details will be provided when they become available.
