St. Mary’s, Charles, Calvert County Schools on 2-Hour Delay Thursday

Charles County Public Schools will open two-hours late today, Thursday, Dec. 6, due to weather conditions.

Employees operate at “Code One”

In St. Mary’s County:

All St. Mary’s County Public Schools will open 2 hours late on Thursday, Dec. 6. Code 1 for employees. Code 1 means ten and eleven month employees report to work two hours late. Twelve month employees report to work up to two hours late, but no later than 9:20 a.m.  All employees normally beginning their day after 9:20 a.m. are to report to work on time. *Designated emergency personnel will report to work on time.

In Calvert County:

·         School opening will be delayed 2 hours due to inclement weather.

·         The workday for 10 and 11-month employees will begin 30 minutes before the scheduled student starting time.

·         12-month employees, including emergency personnel, report on time.

·         Food service workers report on time.

For Staff: Due to the delay of school, the Primary Talent Development training scheduled for Thursday, December 6, 2007, at the Board of Education, 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland 20678-4208, has been cancelled. Both the a.m. and p.m. training will be re-scheduled for a later date.
