St. Mary’s College Student Severely Beaten Outside V.A. Tech Party

A first-year student at St. Mary’s College, Justin Lonsdale, 19, was the victim of an unprovoked attack early Saturday morning while visiting Virginia Tech, said the assistant dean at the college.

The College, which has been in contact with the Blacksburg Police Department, confirmed that an arrest has been made.

Justin underwent surgery for head trauma in Roanoke and is currently in critical condition, according to assistant dean, Joanne Goldwater. His parents immediately traveled to be with him, and ask that you keep Justin in your thoughts and prayers.

Justin was visiting friends at Virginia Tech when he was assaulted outside a college party by members of a fraternity.
