LEONARDTOWN, Md. — St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks is gearing up for one of the most anticipated outings of the fall, offering residents a carefree day trip to Ocean City’s Sunfest on Saturday, October 25.
The charter bus departs Leonardtown at 7 a.m. sharp, giving travelers a full day to explore Ocean City’s lively boardwalk and soak up the festive atmosphere of Sunfest—known for its vibrant mix of live music, artisan vendors, boardwalk bites, and salty ocean air.
The trip costs $90 for county residents and $100 for non-residents, with registration covering round-trip transportation only. Participants are asked to arrive by 6:30 a.m. for check-in at the Patuxent Building parking lot, just outside the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office at 23150 Leonard Hall Drive.
Once in Ocean City, travelers are free to explore on their own from approximately 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.—whether that means catching a performance, shopping handcrafted goods, or simply enjoying a walk along the sand. The bus will return to Leonardtown around 11:45 p.m.
Gratuity for the driver is not included, and cash donations will be collected during the ride. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
