Dr. Michael J. Martirano, Superintendent of Schools, will be departing from his position to serve as the State Superintendent of Schools for the State of West Virginia, in a few weeks.
The school system is hosting an open house to say farewell Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center, 24005 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650, as follows:
• 4-6 p.m. (St. Mary’s County Public Schools Staff)
• 6-8 p.m. (Parents, Students, and the Community)
