Theft/Fraud- On June 1, 2021, Cpl. Pontorno responded to the 21700 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park, for the reported theft. Contact was made with an individual matching the suspect’s description and the individual provided deputies with a false name. Investigation determined the individual’s name to be Charles Cornelius Butler, age 46 of Lexington Park. Located on Butler’s person was merchandise belonging to the business. Butler was arrested and charged with Theft and Fraud to Avoid Prosecution. CASE# 28800-21

Assault- On June 6, 2021, Dep. Westphal responded to the 21900 block of Rosewood Terrace in Lexington Park, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Jonathan Jacob Resnick, age 47 of Lexington Park, punched the victim in the face. There is a valid court order preventing Resnick from abusing the victim. Assault- On June 7, 2021, DFC. Lawrence responded to the 48100 block of Baldridge Street in Leonardtown, for the reported assault. Investigation determined Christopher Edward Evans-Clark, age 33 of Scotland, pointed a shotgun at the victim and physically assaulted the victim. The shotgun was recovered and the serial number on the gun had been scratched off. Evans-Clark was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree, Crime of Violence-Pregnant Person, Rifle/Shotgun Possession with Felony Conviction, Rifle/Shotgun Possession Disqualified Individual, Firearm Use/Violent Crime, and Knowingly Altering Firearm ID number. Investigation determined Jaqwan Michel-Howard Edelen, age 22 of Hollywood, forced entry into the victim’s hotel room, punched the victim, and removed property belonging to the victim.
