LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — Coffee lovers in Lexington Park will soon have a new place to grab their favorite brew.
Starbucks has confirmed plans to open a new location at 21841 Three Notch Road, directly across from Gate 2 of Naval Air Station Patuxent River, with an anticipated opening slated for summer 2026, according to a statement from the company.
The upcoming store is expected to serve commuters, base personnel and local residents along one of the area’s busiest commercial corridors. Positioned near a major entrance to Pax River Naval Base, the location is likely to become a convenient stop for early-morning coffee runs and afternoon pick-me-ups.
“Starbucks is always looking for great locations to better meet the needs of our customers,” a Starbucks spokesperson told The BayNet, confirming the Lexington Park site and its projected opening timeline.

While details such as store design, drive-thru availability and hiring plans have not yet been released, the announcement adds to growing commercial development in the Lexington Park area. The Three Notch Road corridor continues to attract new businesses aimed at serving both the military community and the residents in the surrounding region.
Starbucks has not announced an exact opening date, but additional information is expected to be released as construction progresses closer to summer 2026.
For now, local caffeine fans will have something to look forward to and a familiar green siren soon setting up shop just steps from one of Southern Maryland’s busiest gateways.
