Chesapeake Beach, MD- The Friends of the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum is excited to announce a field trip to New Freedom, PA to “Steam into History” and ride a steam train similar to the ones used on the Chesapeake Beach Railway in the early 20th century. There will be a special rate of $25.00 per person that will include the train ride and motor coach transportation to New Freedom and return. Come join us as we travel back in time!
The trip will be on Saturday, October 17th during peak fall foliage. We will meet at the Museum at 9:00 am and arrive at New Freedom by 11:30 am. Lunch will be on your own; there are several eateries nearby the train, or you can bring a picnic lunch. The train leaves its station at 1:00 pm and travels to Hanover Junction and will be back at 3:30 pm. The Friends have reserved a 26 passenger train car for our group. We expect to return to the Museum by 6:00 pm.
Tickets will be sold at the Museum starting August 29th. Stop on by to buy your tickets for the special price of only $25.00 as well as check out our exhibits!
